I am skipping my birthday weekend just to bring you this special announcement. This weekend my parents where here for there annual visit to Manchester. They had not seen my new appartment so this was kind of a special occasion for them. It has been lovely weather, and we did lots of walking through the city. Today I took them to the Lowrey museum, just to sniff some culture. Well we where walking through the museum when suddenly Colin appeard behind me. I was shocked and amazed that he turned up like this. He said to me last week that he had a gift for me, and he had brought them allong with him. Well he got me three very nice paintings and I have now got them on the wall.

Well all I can say is thank you Colin, it was a lovely surprise to see him. If it was not for my parents being here I would have gone to see him down in birmingham. I know it was only a short visit, but it was lovely to see him again. Well cant wait to see him in 2 weeks time!

The weekend after Ants visit it was Eurovision night. Second year running mother James gathered some queer people to watch the eurovions broadcast on a big screen thingie. This year there where some new people, some old people, and something ehh .. well past it sell by date. (And i am not talking about the old people attending) James asked us to make a european dish, so i made a french and dutch dish. My qualities never stop amazing me. (Spelling is not one of them!) I think I went to see the movie this is england as well with Kev and Paul, such a good movie, so go see it all!

I also made a return to birmingham to see colin. Again we had a wonderfull weekend, and spend lots of time talking and getting to know each other. This time we went to the library (which is very 60's architecture.) and also went and have a visit to the art gallery of birmingham.

We did a bit of shopping and i got the book A planet for the president, it hilarious and scary, a good read. I started reading it and finished it end of that week. I am normaly a slow reader but some how this book gripped me and i could not let it go. After some shopping me and Colin got some vodka and went back to his. Colin let out fintan and i had a little snooze. I was totatly knackered and read a bit. We made some food and watched a french movie. I fell asleep during the movie, colin must have this effect on me, or he drugged me lol.

Sunday we walked for a good hour through this country park near colin, which was very lovely. We went for a meal and I was back on the train to Manchester. I am very lucky to have met Colin, we are enjoying each others company allot. I had asked him to come to my birthday which was this past weekend. To be continued...

Ant is going to kill me. After the fab weekend I had with him three weeks ago, I have not mentioned it in my blog. Well then again I have not mentioned anything in my blog at the moment. Well Ant arrived on the friday morning and we took the tram back to according to me the closest tram stop. Although we are in dispute with Lee (Pauls bf) if this is the closest tram stop. Anyway, after some food, and a natter I got changed and we went to town and met up with Travis. (Ants frienf from the US.) He was staying with his mate Paul (yes all GAYS are called Paul in the uk.). Travis had brought a fellow american Jesse with him from LA. To make things more complicated. Travis his brother and wife live in Leeds at the moment studying something, and also came over. So there was me a normal dutch / scottish guy and a bunch of americans. Did I suffer.. yes i did. Travis did take us to a part of Manchester called Chorlton, which is a lovely area. At night we had a nother gay night out. Sunday we went to a cheapy shopping mall, and met up with my mates Paul, lee, Vince and Mike. Ant did his usual Ant thing, and impressed my mates. (yes i mean this in the nicests of ways.)
